Join us for the 19th Annual Florida Fiber In
Sept 19-21, 2025
This event is funded strictly though donations. The recommended donation is $20 for the weekend holding steady one more year. If you are cash poor, please come anyway. There are other ways to help. We get about half our funding through our live auction on Saturday afternoon so you could donate something for the auction, and it doesn’t have to be strictly fiber related. Rebecca’s plants are one our more popular items. So just come – the money will work itself out.
The 2025 Country theme is Iceland.
What do you know about Vikings?
Location to be determined – stay tuned
I am just figuring out this word press site so stay tuned for details as I build our new home please email me at fibernomad@gmail.com if you have any questions while I get the information updated on the site.

What is a Florida Fiber In?
A time for “fiber folk” (spinners, weavers, knitters, crocheters, beaders, lacers, tatters, braiders and other fiber arts fanatics) to get together, have fun, learn from each other and shop.
Volunteers give free demos and some of Florida’s finest fiber shops come to be in our market. But the main event is always the opportunity to spend the weekend immersed in fiber with other people who understand why you will spend $20 to buy the yarn and hand knit socks when you can buy socks at any local store for 2 bucks.
A big question every year is what is the schedule?
We are very loosey goosey around here, so all times are just estimates and things end when we are too tired to knit even one single more stitch and the ability to find our rooms is in jeopardy.
We are bringing back the garage sale on Sunday for 2023. So get that stash cleaned up and make some money to pay for the new stuff from our wonderful vendors. Here is the rough plan
Friday Night
6pm Main room opens, it’s reunion time! For many of us the only time we see each other is at the Florida Fiber In and it has been way too long! Please be respectful of those who may not want to have physical contact – Covid is still out there, and some people may have health issues that require them to be careful. Vendors should be ready for us, bring your favorite project, your spinning wheel, or just come to shop, and chat.
Saturday

- 8:30ish – main room opens.
- 9:30 – 11:30 – Demos (check the sign up sheet for schedule)
- 11:30-1:00 – Lunch Break
- 1:00 – 3:00 – Demos (check the sign up sheet for schedule)
- 3:00 – Our world famous auction to help fund next year’s event. Our live auction provides about half the funds we need to keep the event running and allows me to truly say “The entrance fee is a donation and if you can’t afford to donate, please come anyway”. Whether or not you can afford a cash donation our auction is a great way to make room in your stash for all your new purchases from our great vendors and do something good for the fiber community.
- 6ish – Dinner, there is usually a big group effort to go to dinner together ask around if you don’t hear the buzz, everyone is invited. Rebecca at Sunshine Knits will most probably know.
- After Dinner – our vendors must pack up but we can still use the room.
Sunday Morning
Its garage sale time – bring some stash, take home some new stash. No prior registration necessary- just grab a table Sunday morning and start selling your stuff. Buyers, head down early for the best deals!
Ongoing fun activities
- Bake sale to benefit the The Jennifer Nolletti Memorial Art Foundation Please bring baked goods to help our favorite charity.
- Door Gift Exchange – Bring something from your stash and get something from someone else’s stash. Please package it as a gift.
- General Shanigans – one never knows
A note about the Pandemic: As of this time please mask or not based on your individual health situation and comfort level. This policy is subject to change if community spread levels increase but it is my hope that we can be respectful of each other’s comfort level so we can get together safely.
